Opening credits research

The opening credits of Halloween are basic, but effective. When the pumpkin - a convention of the horror genre - first appears, it is the only light on screen, drawing our attention to it. A sinister feel is created with the piano playing in the background. The colours of text match the pumpkin, which also adds effect. When the text fades in and out, however, it turns into a deep red, which contrasts to the bright orange.
