Characters in the slasher genre are renowned for their looks. The most notable ones wear masks, such as Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Michael Myers (Halloween) and Ghostface (Scream).
For our film, we have set the focus on a similar kind of character. After our group had pondered, it was eventually decided that the antagonist will wear a gas mask in order to conceal their identity. The idea of a gas mask strikes fear as it is very conspicuous, and although they were created to aid those in need, the idea of it doing the opposite also makes the character more sinister and fearful.
